Ann Dunaway Teh, MS, RDN, CSSD, LD is a native of Marietta, Georgia and a registered and licensed dietitian nutritionist as well as a board certified specialist in sports dietetics. She is the founder and President of Dunaway Dietetics Inc., a nutrition consulting business providing services to athletes, individuals and businesses, and co-founder of My Menu Pal, an online menu planning website providing education, tools and resources for busy families and individuals.
Eat to nourish, energize and flourish!TM is at the heart of Ann’s philosophy on nutrition. As a mother, avid cook and athlete, Ann recognizes that food is an integral part of our lives. We use it to fuel our muscles, to grow strong, to comfort ourselves and to celebrate special occasions. Finding a balance between what we eat and the energy we burn is the key to weight management and sports performance. Eating consistently and often throughout the day leads to more stable energy levels and better body composition. Ann enjoys helping athletes of all abilities reach their maximum potential through sound eating principles that complement their training regimen.
Ann has years of experience managing and consulting with athletes, individuals, restaurants, hospitals and school programs. In addition, Ann has taught nutrition classes and seminars in a variety of settings to people of all ages, including school systems, a diabetes clinic, community centers, universities, athletic groups and non-profit organizations. Ann is a part-time instructor in the Nutrition department at Georgia State University. She holds bachelor’s degrees from Davidson College (Psychology) and Georgia State University (Nutrition) as well a master’s degree in health science with a concentration in nutrition from Georgia State University.
Ann is a trusted nutrition expert for the media. She is co-host of the 100% Athlete podcast, empowering athletes to succeed on and off the field TM. She has made numerous appearances on CNN, including with Dr. Sanjay Gupta. In addition, Ann has appeared on CBS’ Better Mornings, 11alive with Donna Lowry and Atlanta & Company. Ann has also been a Huffington Post blogger and contributes regular posts for Primrose Schools’ blog, Pointers for Parents.
Ann has competed in many half-marathons, triathlons, a marathon and two Ironman races. In addition to running, biking and swimming, Ann enjoys snow skiing, water skiing, weight training and keeping up with her two young children.
